Our history
We started from humble beginnings working from a small workshop in the heart of Ipswich. Since then we have grown into an established and trusted CNC cutting company and have moved into a larger, purpose-built workshop just outside of Stowmarket.
Along the way, we have worked with a variety of clients with different needs: from classic car upholsters to world-class yacht builders whilst also helping local joiners and cabinet makers to fulfil their creative visions. We work closely with our customers to help make the whole process as straightforward as possible, providing a reliable service and high-quality finish.

Our MachinEry
Our Multicam 7000 is an extremely advanced piece of kit that we’re proud to own. It features a 85,000mm/minute rapid traverse rate, up to 35,000mm/minute cutting speed, 16hp spindle and allows us to cut material up to a thickness of 203mm. It has a work area of 3098mmx2108mm so we can machine even the largest sheet sizes.
Alongside this is our Multicam Apex 1R CNC machine with a work area of 3073mm x 2108mm. It’s designed to cut a multitude of materials such as composite material, foam, plastic, wood, and much more. Our APEX 1R is dependable, built to last and accurate down to 0.1mm with repeatability to 0.02mm
Our Laser cutter allows us to cut and engrave in extremely fine detail. We can cut thinner materials and plastics to get the best finish. It has a 900x1220mm bed size but we can pass material through the machine allowing us to cut up to 1220x2440mm.
The 3D printers we use are the Prusa i3. These machines are highly reliable and fast allowing us to create rapid prototypes quickly and efficiently.

With the increased bed size and the ability to run our two machines at the same time, we have increased our capacity substantially whilst continuing to provide our customers with the same industry-leading service.

Our Team
Pete
Pete is the founder of Redhut. After studying traditional boat building he went on to work in the marine industry. The skills he has picked up over the years has meant that his creative problem solving skills are second to none. This, in turn, means that Redhut can create and produce complex pieces for our customers.
Matt
Matt, our workshop manager, joined Redhut in 2022 and has brought with him a wealth of knowledge in CNC machining, design, 3D printing and laser cutting. Matt has an extremely good eye for detail and keeps the workshop running smoothly.
